The Secret Caves of Giza

First discovered by Henry Salt (1780-1827) the caves were totally forgotten about simply because The British Museum had misplaced his journals.

The caves were recently rediscovered by a small team of British explorers.

Egypt's 'Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs' Dr. Zahi Hawass first ridiculed the idea of the Giza caves calling people who believe in such things 'pyramidiots'. Then while filming The History Channel show "Chasing Mummies" he was shown the entrance to the caves and it was plain to see that he had no idea they were there.
Soon after he had the entrance sealed off with a steal gate.

Maybe the caves will lead to the 'Chamber of knowledge' earlier thought to be beneath paws of the Sphinx.
